Mission 11- I've got your back
Silenxe: Mine
Xegabelir: belongs to Znas
Sylxas: belongs to fathix
Kuxakho: belongs to kohaku-ookami
(If I made any of them OOC I apologize SINCERELY!) (oh and I apologize for borrowing an character without asking)
Silenxe smirked smugly as she threw her crimson blade, stabbing one heartless in the middle of its round black head. Vanishing as quickly as it had arrived, the crimson dagger reformed in her hand, lengthening to the shape of a wakizashi. The adrenaline and blood lust raged within her, though she looked blank on the outside, inside there was a pleasant buzz. So she was a battle junkie, big fucking whoop de do!
She spun on her heels and caught a Green Requiem in the neck, it paused and then it disappeared leaving a heart floating for a second then vanishing as well. A slashing sound told her that her companion had taken down the Large Body that was looming over her. Xegabelir gave a brief glance, quirk of the lips, and a nod before turning his attention to two Soldiers.
This was a lame fight, the enemies were weak, the problem was that for every two the defeated, it seemed like another four appeared. The Vengeful Executioner had initially brushed it off as nothing, her imagination running rampant from lack of sleep. Until the Bloody Seraph spoke up,
"Is it just me, or are our little friends here growing in number?" A flash of red light told the male Nobody that her weapon had changed shape again. Now a Katana she dashed forward into a large group of Shadows, moving quickly and cutting up ten in only three slashes of her weapon. Finally she responded to his question,
"I was hoping that it had been my imagination, but unfortunately it looks like I was wrong. Yes, damn it all." Xegabelir stabbed his claws through the chest of a Soldier and swore quietly under his breath.
"I've never seen so many heartless like this before
last time something like this happened, was when Axel used his Kamikaze Attack." Silenxe nodded in agreement, but in mid-motion she froze and her eyes widened
Her comrade noticed this and turned to her, but before he could ask a question, an attack racked her body. A coughing fit struck so strongly that she collapsed to her knees.
The Bloody Seraph switched to Defense almost automatically, "Why didn't you tell Kuxakho that you're body was still weak?!" She wiped away the blood with the back of her hand, spiting out whatever was left in her mouth with a grimace. The weakness and dizziness was already settling in. There was no way she could continue fighting. Of course, she wasn't about to let him know that, dragging herself to her feet she tried to steady herself.
Xegabelir cut down two Soldiers before grabbing her wrist in a tight grip,
"Go back. Now." She stared at him for a moment in shock before tugging her arm away roughly.
"Don't you dare, EVER, talk to me in that tone of voice again. I can still fight, I'm not about to leave you to face all these Creepy Crawlies on your own."
"You're nothing but a liability now! Go back and tell the Superior to send back up!"
She ignored him and shoved forward weakly to take down a Shadow, her weapon flickered weakly and the Bloody Seraph had to give a shove to get her out of the way as a Soldier came in from behind, she cursed in protest. As he stabbed and slashed the two heartless to pieces, then glared angrily at her
"I'm sorry if I offended you your Royal Highness but you're but trouble then you're worth at the moment so would do me a big favor and LEAVE!?"
Silenxe scrambled to her feet as another smaller fit of coughs escaped her
her aggravation having hit the pinnacle she turned to face him and snarled loudly,
"SHUT UP ALREADY! I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE! I WAS GIVEN THIS MISSION AND I'LL COMPLETE THIS MISSION!!!" the silence following it was disturbed only by the sudden sound of what was similar to spontaneous combustion. The Vengeful Executioner glanced behind her back, and saw heartless glow a red similar to that of her blade when she used her Essence to create her weapon.
"CRAP!" she stifled her power like squashing a bug under ones foot; she could already feel the creatures' dark powers bleeding through her body. She stumbled and held a hand to her throbbing temple; her eyes squeezed shut in pain. There was a good reason behind why she didn't just steal the essence of a heartless and use it for her own
because whenever she took in a beings Essence, it became temporarily a part of her own.
Whether that meant their personality traits, bad habits, accent, or in this case, their darkness. No one in the Organization had ever witnessed her after absorbing heartless essence, and there was reason for that. As Xegabelir was about to find out first hand, what it looked like when an empty shell was possessed by darkness for even a moment. Silenxe let out a scream of agony and once again fell to her knees clutching her skull.
The fellow nobody was startled by the sudden change in demeanor; he noticed a black glowing light surround her. The aura expanded, for a moment he though he saw the heartless back away in fear, as if sensing that something horrible was happening. A scream that was so filled with what must have been pain, and then it went silent. He hesitated; unsure of how to react at first, then cautiously he spoke,
"Silenxe?"
Slowly she lifted her head; he couldn't see her face due to her hair-tie having broken. Rising herself to her full height, which she hardly EVER did, the Vengeful Executioner turned to face him and his eyes went wide in horror.
Yellow glowing eyes like those of the heartless starred blankly back at him, her normally pale skin now black like the creatures surrounding them. Her Fingers, long and sharp like claws cracked as she flexed the. He pulled back and raised his weapon defensively, giving a fake smile while preparing for if she attacked.
"Well isn't this interesting turnabout
Silenxe
Can you hear me?"
At first she didn't respond, and then she gave him such an evil sadistic grin that he took a step back. Then with a flash she was heading straight for him, Xegabelir raised his claws and tensed his muscles to take her on if he had no other choice. She vanished, he started, where had the dark Silenxe gone!? An arm jabbed an inch past his face, raising his claws to stab at her, he watched the arm jerk back and a heartless head go flying over his own.
"What in the name of Kingdom Hearts-?" he watched in disbelief as the black blur flashed in quick movements. Ripple of muscle in places he didn't think existed, the sound of vanishing creatures, and flash of light from acquired hearts. The heartless were gone before he could say 'The Vengeful Executioner' and he was left to deal with a tainted Nobody.
Silenxe stood perfectly still; black blood dripping from her hands, the orbs on her gloves shining a dark violet, tears streamed her cheeks. Which was quite odd, because being Nobodies meant that they couldn't feel any reason to cry; it was a peculiar sensation. The black aura surrounding her was fading, and there was an Amber glint in the yellow eyes, her weird form of humanity was returning to her.
In a swift movement she slapped herself roughly across the face, the Bloody Seraph felt something snap within him. Finally able to move again he hurried over to his companions' side. At this point she pulling roughly at her hair and her whole body was shaking. Eyes wide and tears streaming down her cheeks; a frantic looks obvious in her face.
"I can hear them!" she cried in pain, as Xegabelir reached her side, her glowing amber eyes held a yellow tinge still. His Emerald green eyes locked with what looked like a ghost fear in her amber orbs.
"Hear who?"
"The hearts they held. I can hear their screams of agony
Children
these heartless attacked an orphanage
they killed thousands of innocent children. Kingdom Hearts
I can feel the remnants of their emotions lingering. This is what fear, anger, loss, despair, and hopelessness feels like
Children
They were just children
"
For a moment he didn't know what to say, as an emotionless being he wasn't able to feel sympathy. He helped lift her to her feet, but when he let go, her legs crumbled beneath her. Wide eyes now returned to their normal shade of Amber the green flakes sparkling with a silent plea of help.
"Can you still hear them?" he asked quietly as his weapon vanished, being nothing but a burden now. She shook her head silently, her dark purple hair falling into her face, causing her to nervously tuck behind her ears. He gave her an awkward smile.
"Good, I'm glad." He said as he knelt down to pick her up again. She watched as he opened a dark portal behind them. She grumbled angrily and swore,
"Gyrax is never gonna let me live this down
is he?"
Xegabelir grinned at her as he hoisted her up into his arms to carry her back and deposit her firmly on top of her bed and force to stay there.
"Nope, and you can expect a lecture from Xhanroi, If not from the Superior as well." She let out a long childish whine as they entered the dark portal and appeared in the Castle.
"I don't think my ears can handle it..." she turned her face upwards, sheer desperation obvious...
"Save me... that or kill me... I can't deal with any lectures..." he chuckled softly and shook his head. Using another portal to get to her room, he unceremoniously dropped her onto her bed.
"Get comfortable... because I think I can hear the Superior just down the hall." She squeaked and dived under the covers. He raised an eyebrow in bemused interest, she was still a new recruitment, but she was fun to tease. She took pokes of fun with a light ease.
As he headed to the door, she asked quietly,
"You're not scared of me now... are you?" he turned and saw her for once without her mental mask she wore to shield her sensitive self. It was like that of beat dog, abused repeatedly, runs away from the cruel hand, but still begging for a scrap of kindness.
He shook his head, and gave her a small smile,
"You're not that scary, I've seen worse...Now get some rest..." as he opened the door he glanced back one last time and gave a mischievous smile.
"I'll distract them as long as possible, but in the end they're going to want your take on what took place."
She was interrupted from responding by a small coughing fit, not violent but still a fit nonetheless. Finally she gave him an appreciative smile, as she curled up under the blankets. In the corner of his eyes he saw the black leather jacket fall in a neat pile, and then heard a tired yawn.
"I know, Thanks."
With that he left, closing the door behind him. Nearly running into the Superior Kuxakho, she placed her hands on her hips in annoyance, nailing him down with a stern look.
"What the hell happened out there?" she snarled at him, a single brown brow rose elegantly. He side stepped her, and called over his shoulder as he walked away.
"That's something you should ask Silenxe, not me." Then he vanished in a dark portal leaving the fuming Superior in his wake. Kuxakho growled and opened the door to Number Eighty-Eight's room. As she opened her mouth to lecture the woman on how she wasn't supposed to allow her powers to go rampant she was stunned at the sight before her.
The newer member was curled up in her bed, peaceful look upon her face, and holding a plushy of the original Organization member Demyx. Her left hand gloveless and clenched tightly on her covers, a lilac towel crumpled beside her had spots of blood upon it.
Quietly Kuxakho walked over to the Vengeful Executioners' side and brushed some of the violet locks out of her face. The woman grumbled and swatted away the hand before rolling over to the other side and sighing contently. The Superior shook her head and combed her hand through her green and blonde hair.
"Just what we needed
another oddball in the group
"
After pausing briefly, the Venomous Charmer left the room silently and went to send Sylxas to calm the fits and heal the neophytes' weak body
after all, she could save the lecture for later, when the other female nobody wouldn't be able to plead illness as a reason to leave before she was through with her
